Via Nativa
Via Nativa is a socially conscious label that offers the marketplace a unique selection of ethically-produced, artisan-crafted, high quality accessories made in Latin America. Through a culturally sensitive approach to design and development, Via Nativa collaborate with skilled artisans and collectives to support disappearing craft traditions and create employment for populations who face obstacles in their economic survival.
Inspired by Latin America’s rich hand-crafting traditions Vanesa Natale and Alessandra Plasa founded Via Nativa after extensively traveling throughout Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Guatemala and Mexico.
During their travels, the two discovered they shared both a love for artesanal products and the desire to increase awareness of populations who face obstacles in their economic and cultural survival. At this time they decided to serve a dual role; exporting hand-crafted accessories to international audiences and advancing the well-being of craftspeople and their communities.
