- Buffalo Indie Market
- To bring a monthly market of unique and stylish handmade products to the Buffalo community while nurturing the professional talents and business potential of up & coming designers & crafters. The Buffalo Indie Market offers local consumers a whole new way to shop and provide the Buffalo community with a space to discover hand-made jewelry, handbags, clothes, stationery, pottery, knitted items and more.
- DIYCityMag
- DIY City is an online magazine that celebrates the independent artist and the DIY spirit. The idea for the mag grew out of a need to find art supplies and resources in New York City. NYC was a natural pick for our first issue as it seems that just about everyone moonlights doing some type of creative work. DIY, or do-it-yourself, has a broad range of meanings. For us it represents the creative spirit of individuals making things in a move away from mass production. Some of the DIYs we’ve met make wares to give or trade with others, while many others make them to sell in the ever growing DIY marketplace.
- GrooveEffect
- Grooveeffect is an urban style, music, and events guide focusing on men's and women's streetwear, indie and underground music, and the club and party scene. Grooveeffect was created by Ivy Rashid and Sean Mulholland, veterans of the streetwear and club culture coming out of the underground rave and hip-hop scenes in the 90's. We watched streetwear evolve from camo and phat pants to nu-camo all-over prints and skinny jeans, from the rise of major labels like Ecko and 555 Soul to the rise of exclusive brands like 10 Deep and BAPE.

- NYcreates
- In 2003, the New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA)
founded New York Creates to assist craft and folk artists
and artisans in enhancing the income they receive practicing
their art, thereby bringing greater economic progress to them
and to their communities. This was done in partnership with
the Consortium for Worker Education, the Municipal Art Society, and the New York City Arts Coalition. New York Creates is guided by a diverse Advisory Board. It is modeled on HandMade in America, a highly successful project that has revitalized communities in rural North Carolina by assisting that region's many talented craft artists. - NYANA
- Since 1949, NYANA has helped over 500,000 people find a better life in America. And the list grows every day. Helping immigrants build a better life for themselves also serves to make America a stronger country. Their success is our nation’s success; immigrants improve the communities they live in, strengthen the economy and enrich our culture. That’s why we continue to do the work we do.

- The girlie show
- The mission of The Girlie Show is to give rockin' arts-and-craftin' females an opportunity to show their goods and make some cash in a fun party atmosphere. Yes, it's called an art show, but we encourage you to challenge the definition of 'art'.
- The New New
- The {NewNew} Etsy Street Team represents an eclectic group of independent Etsy artists in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut who have come together to promote and support each other. We are a very active team in terms of our participation and expect our members to be involved in the group. We meet once a month either at Etsy Labs, a members house or in the virtual labs and we are constantly chatting, resources sharing and planning in our google group. We share the vast opportunities and resources of NYC in the spirit of cooperation, camaraderie, craftsmanship, and artistry. We hope to plan some events in the near future for group crafting time as well charity crafting. Check out our blog frequently for featured artist's profiles as well as coverage of NYC events, shows, and general craftiness and makery.
